As political drama and maneuvers rages on in Nigeria where massive defections to the APC ruling party rages on.
The Governor of Plateau State has remained resolute to his conviction of relying on God and the people of the State to decide his political destiny.
His Excellency, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, an ardent believer in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has shown his commitment to stick to the PDP unless otherwise ordered by God or the good people of Plateau who voted him into office.
Despite internal wrangling within the party at the national level, H E. Barr Caleb Mutfwang is said to have ushered in one of the most credible party congress in the State under the close watch and supervision of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials as well as delegation from PDP’s national body.
During the congress recently held in Jos, the State capital to elect the party’s Executive Officials, H E. Barr. Caleb Mutfwang restated that he will remain in PDP while urging members to close ranks to build the party and resolve their internal issues.
Despite this commitment, uncertainty still hovers over the cloud of mass defections by his other co-Governors who have defected to the APC.
Rumors still fly the air that he may eventually bow to pressure and defect, but going by his antecedents, he has proven over time the he is a man of his words and can be trusted by what he says
Although some factors may eventually alter his stands, but notwithstanding, however things turns out, his decision will largely hinge on God, and the collective resolve of the good loving people of Plateau State who trusted him with their mandates.
