A snooker tournament aimed at promoting unity and peaceful coexistence between Muslims and Christians was held in Jos on Saturday, April 25, 2026.

The competition, which attracted over 40 participants from both religious communities, was sponsored by Alhaji Sadiq Nalele as part of efforts to foster peace, mutual understanding, and social harmony among residents.
The event took place at the popular E3 Snooker Arena located along Bauchi Road in Jos, where participants and spectators enjoyed the atmosphere of friendship, excitement, and sportsmanship.

At the end of the tournament, two finalists emerged, with Mr. Key claiming the first position as the overall winner, while his opponent, Shata, finished in second place.

Speaking after the event, Alhaji Sadiq Nalele stated that the purpose of organizing the tournament was to strengthen unity among the people, especially in promoting peaceful coexistence between Muslims and Christians.

A reporter from Zenith Media gathered that the event was conducted in a joyful and peaceful atmosphere, with the presence of security personnel including the Police, DSS, NDLEA, military officers, Civil Defence personnel, and local hunters.

The gathering ended with group photographs and the presentation of awards to participants as well as to the heads of the security agencies who attended the event.
