The Citizen Joint Tactical Formation (CJTF-TF) Nigeria has announced a nationwide administrative restructuring aimed at establishing a unified command structure and strengthening coordination across its state commands.
As part of the reorganisation, the organisation has appointed Muhammad Garba Muhammad as Acting State Coordinator for Kano State.
The announcement was contained in a press statement issued on Monday, November 2, 2026, and signed by the Commander General and National Coordinator of CJTF-TF Nigeria, Tanimu Shehu Suleiman.
According to the statement, the restructuring is intended to address leadership disagreements, overlapping responsibilities and uncoordinated command structures within the organisation.
It explained that the National Command Council had communicated the changes to the Kano State Government, Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Services (DSS), National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and other relevant security institutions.
The statement described the appointment of Muhammad Garba Muhammad as part of efforts to strengthen the organisation’s administrative and operational coordination in Kano State.
It said Muhammad, an indigene of Gwale Local Government Area, holds a National Certificate in Education (NCE) from the Federal College of Education, Kano, and has previous experience with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and National Forest Security.

The new acting coordinator is expected to establish formal communication with security agencies in Kano State before commencing field activities.
He is also required to verify the organisation’s personnel across the state’s 44 local government areas and submit a comprehensive personnel database to the national headquarters within six months.
The statement added that failure to meet the requirements, including the submission of officially acknowledged notification letters and the verified personnel records, could result in the forfeiture of his appointment and disqualification from confirmation as substantive state coordinator.
It further disclosed that Muhammad had sworn an affidavit at the Kano State High Court on November 2, 2026, covering his previous service records, personal declarations and commitment to the organisation’s constitution and operational regulations.
The Commander General reaffirmed CJTF-TF Nigeria’s commitment to working with recognised security agencies and other stakeholders to support community safety, intelligence sharing and peaceful coexistence.
He stressed that the organisation’s activities would be guided by discipline, accountability and compliance with applicable laws.
