A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State, Sagir Auwal Maidoya, has called on party members to close ranks and strengthen internal unity as the party prepares for the 2027 general elections.
Maidoya, who is also an APC presidential aspirant for 2027 from Maiburuji Ward in Kaduna North Local Government Area, said a united APC remains Nigeria’s most reliable platform for political stability and national progress.
In a press statement issued to Newsmen in Kaduna he reaffirmed his loyalty to the party and declared his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and APC National Chairman Professor. Nentawe Yilwatda.
He described the APC as the foremost stabilizing force in Nigeria’s democratic journey, noting that the party’s Renewed Hope Agenda has provided direction and resilience in governance since it assumed power in 2015.
According to him, the party’s structures remain strong and its leadership focused on delivering good governance to Nigerians.
Maidoya, however, warned that political dominance must be matched with unity of purpose, stressing that cohesion, discipline and mutual respect are critical to securing another victory in 2027.

He cautioned that opposition groups are seeking to exploit perceived differences within the APC through opportunistic alliances aimed at misleading Nigerians and derailing the party’s progress.
“No coalition built on convenience, desperation or power-seeking can rival the strength and credibility of a party grounded in ideology, service and public trust,” he said.
The APC chieftain urged leaders and members at all levels, from the ward to the national structure, to deepen engagement with Nigerians and remain focused on delivering tangible results.
While declaring his presidential ambition, Maidoya said his goal is not driven by personal gain but by a sincere commitment to contribute to the party’s growth and the nation’s development.
He pledged to work collaboratively with stakeholders to bridge divides, promote inclusivity and mobilize the grassroots base ahead of the 2027 polls.
Maidoya maintained that the road to 2027 should be defined by a shared vision of “one party, one purpose, one Nigeria,” adding that the same spirit brought the APC to power and will sustain it.
He reaffirmed his commitment to investing time, energy and resources to ensure the party grows stronger, more inclusive and more successful, concluding that together the APC will secure the future and win again.
