Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima, has visited victims of the recent bomb blast currently receiving treatment at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital in Maiduguri.

During the visit, the Vice President expressed sympathy with the victims and assured them of the Federal Government’s support as they recover from their injuries.

Speaking during the visit, Shettima reiterated the Federal Government’s strong resolve to defeat terrorism and restore lasting peace across the country. He stressed that those responsible for the recent attacks would be decisively confronted by security agencies.
The Vice President further disclosed that, in addition to directives issued by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to security chiefs, the Federal Government is increasing investment in modern equipment and logistics to strengthen ongoing counter-terrorism operations nationwide.
He reassured citizens that the government remains committed to protecting lives and property, particularly in the North-East region, which has faced prolonged security challenges.
The visit underscores the Federal Government’s continued efforts to support victims of insurgency and intensify the fight against terrorism in Nigeria.
