The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has announced plans to arraign former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, in both Federal and State High Courts in Kaduna.
According to a statement issued on March 23, 2026, the anti-corruption agency disclosed that El-Rufai, alongside one Joel Adoga, will be arraigned before the Federal High Court in Kaduna on March 24, 2026. The case, marked FHC/KD/73/2026, involves allegations including the conversion and possession of public property as well as money laundering.
In a separate case filed before the Kaduna State High Court, El-Rufai is also charged alongside Amadu Sule (LEDA). The charges in this case include abuse of office, fraud, and intent to confer undue advantage.
The ICPC stated that both cases were filed on March 18, 2026, and confirmed that the former governor has been duly served.

While the date for the State High Court arraignment is yet to be announced, the commission reiterated its commitment to due process and the rule of law.
