The Bauchi Sabuwa Project has organised a preliminary debate for aspirants seeking to contest the governorship seat in Bauchi State, as part of efforts to promote issue-based politics and informed decision-making among voters.

Speaking during the session, the Director General of the Bauchi Sabuwa Project, Ibrahim Muhammad, said the debate was designed to provide a platform for aspirants to present their agendas and manifestos to the people of the state.

He explained that the initiative is in line with the organisation’s advocacy for competent leadership and good governance, adding that the debate is not intended to promote or discredit any asaspirant.

According to him, the goal is to encourage transparency and allow citizens to better understand the plans and policy direction of those seeking to lead the state.

During the interactive session, participants posed questions to the aspirants on their development plans and priorities for Bauchi State if elected into office.
In response, the aspirants outlined their visions, policy proposals, and strategies aimed at addressing key challenges facing the state.

Among the first batch of aspirants who participated in the debate were Barrister Muhammad Abdullahi Abubakar (SAN), Engineer Ayuba Dauda Katagum, Barrister Ibrahim Muhammad Kashim, and Malam Usman Adamu Sufi.
