Succour has finally come to the residents of Dong community in Jos‑North Local Government Area of Plateau State as His Excellency, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, Governor of Plateau State, today commissioned a new Police Out‑Station on the approval of the Inspector‑General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun Adeolu, PhD, NPM.
The out‑station was built and furnished by the leadership of Jos‑North Local Government Area in response to the security needs of the Dong community. The ceremony was attended by a host of dignitaries, including the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb M. Mutfwang, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Arch. Nanchang Samuel Jatau; the Commissioner of Police, CP Emmanuel Olugbemiga Adesina, psc; the Executive Chairman of Jos‑North LGA, Barr. J. K. Chris; representatives of other security agencies; the Dong Traditional Council; and other distinguished guests.
In his remarks, the Executive Governor, represented by Arch. Nanchang Samuel Jatau, commended the Commissioner of Police for his professionalism and diligence in keeping Plateau State peaceful. He urged community members to remain vigilant and support the police in maintaining peace and security.
CP Emmanuel Olugbemiga Adesina, psc, expressed gratitude to the Government of Plateau State, led by Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, for its unwavering support and leadership, which have enabled the Command to fulfill its constitutional duties. He also lauded the Executive Chairman of Jos‑North LGA, Barr. J. K. Chris, for his passion and commitment to the safety of the community.
