Troops of Operation ENDURING PEACE, working alongside local vigilantes, have neutralized several terrorists during a clearance operation in Daba and Seri villages of Wase and Kanam LGAs, Plateau State.
The operation, part of Operation WUTAN DAJI, saw troops engage a large group of armed terrorists on motorcycles along a known route between Dutsen Zaki and Odare Forest on April 9, 2026. At least 10 terrorists were killed, while others fled into nearby forests.
In a related operation, troops responded to an attack along the Razat–Kafi Abu road, pursuing the attackers into surrounding areas. Subsequent cordon-and-search operations in Suma Suga and Takwok villages led to the recovery of weapons and supplies.
Items recovered include 3 AK-47 rifles, magazines, ammunition, motorcycles, fuel, and identification materials belonging to suspects.
Troops remain on alert and continue efforts to track down fleeing terrorists, as operations intensify to restore peace and security across affected areas.
