The Time is Now Administration of Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State through PLASMIDA has organized a one day sensitization workshop to enlighten stakeholders on the Federal Government’s 2025 Tax Reform Act.
The workshop under the theme Understanding the 2025 Nigeria Tax Reform Act: Implications for MSME Stakeholders took place Friday 9th January 2026 at the Odilins Event Center, Jos.
In his welcome address, the Director General of Plateau State Microfinance Development Agency (PLASMIDA) Hon. Bonkam Ali Wuyep stated that the workshop is aimed at helping entrepreneurs and stakeholders clearly understand what the reforms means for their businesses, their compliance, obligations and the opportunity it presents.
The workshop had manager of Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Chairman Plateau State Internal Revenue Service (PSIRS) Monitor of Federal Inland Revenue Service, (FIRS) Plateau State branch, and manager of Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) as resource persons
Bonkam stressed that PLASMIDA remains steadfast in its commitment to MSME development through access to finance, financial literacy, business advisory services, market linkages and policy sensitization programs such as this workshop adding that its objective is to ensure that taxation supports business growth and economic inclusion rather than becoming business constraint to enterprise
Highlight of the workshop was a question and answer session where participants asked questions on gray areas of the 2025 Tax Reform Act and answers were given by resource persons for proper education and understanding of the Act.
